Silent Apparatus
Silent Apparatus looks at ordinary places and objects made for human use at moments when their familiar roles begin to recede. Slides, courts, roofs, tunnels and covered cars remain recognisable, yet the human activity associated with them is absent. What first appears functional begins to carry another kind of presence.
Blackness is central to the series. It is not simply a background, but a field that changes the relationship between object and space. Familiar forms become more distant, heavier and less certain, while the surrounding space acquires its own pressure.
These images remain rooted in everyday reality. Yet as use and explanation recede, they begin to slip beyond the human-centred meanings that usually define them. I am drawn to this quiet shift: the point at which an ordinary thing remains visible, but is no longer fully knowable.
Silent Apparatus
Silent Apparatusは、人のためにつくられた日常の場所や物が、慣れ親しんだ役割から後退し始める瞬間を見つめるシリーズです。滑り台、コート、屋根、トンネル、カバーを掛けられた車は、それが何であるかを認識できるまま、そこに結びついていた人間の活動だけが不在になっています。機能を持つものとして見えていたものが、別の存在感を帯び始めます。
黒はこのシリーズの中心的な要素です。それは単なる背景ではなく、物と空間の関係を変える場として働きます。その中で見慣れた形は、より遠く、重く、不確かなものとなり、周囲の空間自体が圧力を帯びます。
これらのイメージは日常の現実に根ざしています。しかし、用途や説明が後退するにつれ、そこに写る場所や物は、通常それらを定義している人間中心の意味から少しずつ外れていきます。私が惹かれるのは、この静かな変化です。ありふれたものが見えるままでありながら、もはや完全には知り得ないものになる地点です。
